Rach and Jonny had something really special at their wedding – one hour allocated for speeches. But it was one of the most wonderful hours that I’ve ever experienced as a wedding photographer.
Family members stood up and told funny stories about Jonny and Rach (including humourously bungled Spanish-English translations by Rach’s brother-in-law). A friend got up and played some beautiful music (I can’t for the life of me remember what it was) while another got up and recited a wonderful piece of poetry she had written called “Courage is Stubbornness Pointed in the Right Direction.” Everyone who was near and dear had an opportunity to speak and say what made Rach and Jonny special to them. And the rest of us, sat there, already knowing how special these two people were, absorbing each beautiful word.
